We're Thedoodycrew; a pet waste removal service born right here in Indianapolis, started by a local firefighter who got tired of dodging landmines in his own backyard after long shifts.
Turns out, a lot of Indy dog owners felt the same way.
What started as a side hustle between 24-hour shifts became a full-blown mission: give people their yards back. No more Sunday scoop sessions. No more stepping in something questionable while you're just trying to water the tomatoes.
Being firefighter-owned isn't just a fun fact on our website. It's how we operate; show up on time, do the job right, and treat every yard like it belongs to someone on our crew. Because around here, it probably does. We're your neighbours. We shop at the same Kroger. Our dogs probably go to the same vet.
We just happen to also pick up poop for a living. And honestly? We're pretty great at it.
We know Indianapolis weather can mess with the best-laid plans; one day it’s 85 and sunny: the next you’re shovelling snow off your patio in April. But whether it’s a scorcher on Mass Ave or a soggy Tuesday in Irvington; we’re out there. Because your dog doesn’t take a day off; and neither do we. This isn’t some flashy startup chasing scale. It’s a crew of real people who show up; get dirty; and leave your yard better than we found it; same as we would want for our own. We don’t overpromise. We don’t ghost. We saw a simple problem; dog owners in our city were spending their free time picking up after their pets when they could be doing literally anything else. So we built a crew around that. We treat every job with the same standard we learned in the firehouse; do it right, do it consistently, and never take shortcuts. That means thorough sweeps, reliable schedules, and honest communication. No drama. No surprises. Just clean yards and happy customers.
